For two years in a row, Akrikhin has acted as a partner of GxP Fest international festival for undergraduate and graduate students and faculty of pharmaceutical higher education institutions. The event program included presentations, master classes, meeting with the industry experts, as well as presentation of possible internships in the company for young professionals.

On the 21st of April, within the framework of GxP Fest 2023, Akrikhin hosted a separate master class titled “Our Knowledge – Your Achievements!” During the event, the participants were able to learn about the organisational structure of the manufacturing site and responsibilities of the key managers of a large pharmaceutical enterprise like Akrikhin, learn about the career path from a student to a director, possibilities and opportunities available to young professionals, and participate in a proper deviation investigation that had taken place at the manufacturing site.

Faiza Yagudina, Quality Director of Akrikhin, hosted the first part of the master class. She talked about her professional journey in the company and about the career path awaiting future experts, and also provided professional advice and insights. The audience was very interested in Ms. Yagudina’s presentation, and afterwards, the undergraduate and graduate students were able to ask her important questions.

Our main objective is to assist recent graduates with practical application of the things they learnt in the higher education institutions, obtaining competencies required for work, planning their future professional development and career path. We have been developing a special program for the graduates in our Quality Department that will promote training and onboarding, understanding one’s opportunities and possibilities in this field. During the internship, the future employee is provided with continuous support of the mentor and is able to focus on performing interesting tasks,

The event also featured a company booth that attracted a lot of students and graduates. Tatyana Izotova, the leading HR expert at Akrikhin talked about available on-the-job training and internship programs, as well as opportunities for a career start at the company.

This year, the student festival had the largest number of participants so far: the competition program featured over 850 people and 106 teams representing 78 industry higher education institutions of Russia, EAEU, and friendly countries. The event was organised by Eurasian Academy of Good Practices with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Eurasian Economic Commission, and FSI “State Institute of Drugs and Good Practices” of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.

Organisation of industry events and engagement of the industry leaders, representatives of regulating authorities, and senior managers of pharmaceutical companies is critical for establishment of future experts, their involvement with the industry and obtaining information required for further self-fulfilment.
