Akrikhin ranked 2^nd in “Rating of influence of Russian pharmaceutical market participants”, The most influential local pharmaceutical manufacturer nomination upon the results of 2011. The rating is an annual joint project by “Pharmexpert. Analytics and consulting” Company and “Pharmaceutical Vestnik (newspaper)”.

According to pharmaceutical community opinion in 2011 the degree of Akrikhin’s influence among local pharmaceutical manufacturers grew compare to the previous year. The changes took place among the three leaders of 2010 – Pharmstandard, Stada CIS and Akrikhin – in 2011 there was relocation: Akrikhin ascended from the 3^rd line in the rating to the 2^nd one.

In the opinion of the Pharmexpert analysts, the results of the rating reflect the most significant rules of the information field emergence in the pharmaceutical industry. Akrikhin information activities in 2011 was determined with Akrikhin’s impressive growth in accordance with the priorities of development of Russia’s pharmaceutical industry. Akrikhin consolidated its market position and continued to implement an investing program for the modernization of the production facilities, added new medicines (the majority of which is socially important ones) to its product portfolio, and entered into a number of strategic agreements on the development of innovative products. In addition, the past year Akrikhin celebrated its 75^th anniversary and this date marked with several public communication activities.

Russian Pharmaceutical Market Players’ Influence Rating

This is the 13th Russian pharmaceutical market players’ influence rating. The project objective is to determine the leaders of the pharmaceutical industry and evaluate their activity.

The rating was counted on the basis of more than 700 opinions of respondents from the six expert groups: scientists, government officials, employees of Russian and foreign pharmaceuticals manufacturers, representatives of distributing companies, pharmacy directors/managers. The above target groups covered in course of the research are characterized as experts as they have specialized information on the pharma market. Research geography includes 35 Russian regions in 8 Federal Districts.
