Pharmaceutical company Akrikhin, entering the TOP 5 of the largest Russian pharmaceutical manufacturers, invested 389 mln. rubles into development and modernization of the production complex in 2010-2011. Investments were made within the production complex modernization and reconstruction investment program within the period of 2010 to 2016. The amount of investments in 2010-2016 will total to 960 mln. rubles.

One of the key objectives of Akrikhin investment program is to enhance the production capacities. As a result of the investment programme production of soft and liquid finished pharmaceutical forms is to be increased by 47%, production of solid pharmaceutical forms – by 86%.

Investment program consists of four directions: reconstruction and modernization of solid pharmaceutical forms production, soft and liquid pharmaceutical forms, reorganization of a boiler house and construction of a new warehouse complex.

In 2011 Akrikhin achieved a milestone launching a brand new hi-tech boiler house. Investments into that project amounted to 96 mln. rubles. Using a new boiler house allows to decrease the heating energy generating cost for the company by 39%.

Also a concept of a future AKRIKHIN warehouse complex was developed and approved in 2011. Phase 1 construction for 8 thous. pallets is to begin in summer 2012. The present warehouse complex has the storage capacity of 6 thous. pallets. According to the concept of a new warehouse complex the number of pallets in total will increase to 12 thous. pallets. The area of the new warehouse complex shall be 9600 square meters.

In 2010-2011 the company completed the construction cycle of new areas and reconstruction of the current soft and liquid pharmaceutical forms manufacturing sites. The total area of reconstructed and built manufacturing areas exceeds 2600 square meters, including 1029 square meters of the new manufacturing areas. New equipment by the leading international manufacturers was bought and assembled. In 2012 it is planned to transfer production from the current capacities to the new ones.

Modernization and reconstruction of solid finished pharmaceutical forms production in 2010-2011 included construction of approximately 1500 square meters of new areas, new equipment was purchased. In 2012 we plan to assemble the clean rooms and to equip them.
