The product line of the Phytolysin brand by Akrikhin has been supplemented with a new product — Phytolysin, capsules. Starting from February 2022, pharmacies will offer Russia’s only Phytolysin capsules with a thick extract from a mixture of herbal constituents1.
Phytolysin – is a herbal drug used in combination treatment and for prevention of infectious and inflammatory diseases of the urinary tract, and for nephrourolithiasis2.
The product has a diuretic, anti-inflammatory and antispasmodic effect, which facilitates the treatment of urinary tract disorders2.
The capsule dosage form:
- facilitates more convenient administration due to its multi-purpose pharmaceutical form that allows using the product “on the go” - under way, at the workplace
- improves product storage,
- increases its bioavailability, i.e., more rapid release and dissolution of the active ingredient and its penetration into blood as compared to tablets3.
Urinary tract infections (UTI) are one of the most common type of infectious diseases7. Herbal medicinal products, including Phytolysin, have multiple significant advantages over synthetic pharmaceuticals 4,5,6:
