Mr. Kirill Volynchik has been appointed  Vice President for strategic development of AKRIKHIN. This position was formerly occupied by Mr. Rustam Iksanov, who joined the AKRIKHIN team in September of 2010.

In AKRIKHIN Kirill will focus on expanding Company’s product portfolio. It is planned to increase the number of medicinal products developed by the Research and Development Centre of AKRIKHIN and  to expand the number of in-licensing projects with foreign and Russian pharmaceutical companies. This work will be performed out not only within current therapeutic categories, but also in new areas.

From 2012 to 2014 Kirill Volynchik was the Director for Development in innovative biopharmaceutical companies OOO Satareks and OOO Tiareks.  Both companies are members of ChemRar High-Tech Center group of companies. Kirill’s responsibilities included building up the development strategy and managing the R&D portfolio of licensed products and self-engineered products, search and attracton of strategic partners, cooperation with partners in licensing projects and collaborations (Pfizer, Roche, Abbott). Earlier Kirill worked as the CEO in U.S. companies dealing with innovative pharmaceutical drug developments in cardiology, antidiabetic fields and other socially important areas ( ZAO InteKrin; OOO Helix Ventures), which meets  AKRIKHIN's priority to introduce socially important medicinal products to the Russian pharmaceutical market .

Kirill Volynchik is a professional with a scientific experience: from 2004 to 2012 he worked his way up from a research assistant  to a senior researcher in the Department of Esophagus and Stomach Surgery of the Federal state  institution Russian Scientific Centre of Surgery named after Academician B.V. Petrovsky at the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences.

K. Volynchik is tne graduate of the First Moscow State Medical University named after I.M. Sechenov, graduated from the residency and postgraduate school of medical education of Federal state budgetary institution Russian Scientific Centre of Surgery named after Academician B.V. Petrovsky at the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences.  Kirill was also awarded an MBA by the Higher School of Economics in Moscow.

Since 2011 Kirill has been an the development of a number of Federal Target Programs (“Research and development in priority trends of science and technology complex of Russia for 2014-2020” on “Living systems” trend and others).
