NATIONWIDE ASSISTANCE: AKRIKHIN EXTENDS SUPPORT TO HEALTHCARE FACILITIES IN RUSSIAN REGIONS
27.08.2020

Akrikhin has expanded the coverage of its charity programme and extended support to 95 public healthcare facilities located in the North-Western, Southern, Volga, Siberian, Ural, and Far Eastern Federal Districts of Russia. Assistance has been provided in the form of medicinal drugs for patients from the company’s own portfolio.

Akrikhin developed a socially-oriented project to support healthcare facilities and implemented the first stage of this project in Moscow and Moscow Region in early May. Thereafter, the programme has been expanded, and currently, the company is extending support all over our big country. Healthcare facilities located in the regions were provided with support in July and August 2020. They have received medicinal drugs that may be used as part of therapeutic regimens for conditions related to the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19). The list includes a number of drugs from the vital and essential drugs list and drugs for heart diseases, skin diseases, and general medicines. The necessary drugs are provided at healthcare facilities’ request. The list of such healthcare facilities includes hospitals for infectious diseases, in-patient facilities, and out-patient clinics.

The programme covers the largest population centres in every region of Russia. To date, assistance has been provided in over 40 cities, including Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk, Saratov, Sochi, Samara, Kazan, Arkhangelsk, Krasnoyarsk, Khabarovsk, etc. Healthcare facilities have received over 230,000 packs of drugs. A total of over RUB 16 mln has been allocated to the implementation of the project.

Denis Chetverikov, President of Akrikhin:

Akrikhin views this project as something more than just a donation of drugs. This effort has united a lot of company employees, as each of them has been directly involved in the project. Medical representatives reached out directly to hospital employees and supervised the handover of drugs in person. This raises the availability of popular drugs to an even larger number of patients across the country.
